well worth the purchase. The book gives very detailed examples for each topic and includes explanations from the very simple to the more complex. I appreciated that it did not assume that the reader knows certain things. Worth every penny. I have a classmate who is just going back to college after 25 years, she mentioned that her college age son used the same book and both enjoyed it for difference reasons but both felt it was a great book
