Tremendous amount of knowledge/info especially compared to my 1964 AP Chem text. However, at times, it is puzzlingly oblique or unclear. E.g., in Chapter 4, it speaks prominently of "3 major classes of chemical reactions" but NOWHERE did I find those enumerated! There are, instead, sections on Aqueous ionic reactions, precipitation reactions, acid base reactions, and redox reactions, which looks like 4. Maybe I'm just dense or didn't read carefully enough - but I don't think so. After 7 editions, I think things like this should have been worked out. Nevertheless, I'm highly pleased with it overall, but it could be better.
