his book covers everything you could possibly need for APA. If your citation or reference is not in this book, you're not going to find it anywhere else anyway. So if you're going to be in college or high school using APA for any period of time, you might as well bite the bullet and purchase the official resource.

Use it constantly as I tutor college students at a school that uses only apa. A must have. Get in an argument with a prof? Pull this out and shut 'em up quick when you're right. You also need this for those vague, seemingly arbitrary, little things that you don't come across that often. If you write apa, you need to have this.

If you are a college student that is going to be writing APA style papers or you're a person that will be writing APA style papers this is the book that you need to have. This is what I consider to be the "bible" of APA style writing. Everything that you could ever need to know is covered in this manual which is written and published by the American Psychological Association, which is the association who sets out the guidelines for writing APA style papers. Owning this book will ensure that you do not have questions on paper set up, paper critique, and the all-important resources layout. So, if you are like me and you are one of the people that want to make sure that every APA paper that you write is 100% correct then you need to own this book and use it to its fullest. You will not be let down by any means. Also, I wanted to mention that you cannot beat the price for this book in pdf format!

I'm taking an advanced writing/ APA course that uses the APA workbook and training manual. That workbook was made to coincide with this Publication Manual. However, this book was not a required text, so I found it here on amazon and bought it to help me in this course as an extra study tool. I'm in the final week of this course, and I use this Manual ALL the time! The APA codes line up exactly with the workbook and training manual. It is packed FULL of APA rules you need to know in order to write term papers, research papers, and journal articles.

I bought this book after using APA for several years, and getting tired of professors teaching their own versions of APA style. I use it for every assignment and paper in my doctoral program, and even used it to prove that my citations were correct when the professor doubted me!

Excellent reference. Fairly easy to find information that I need (FAR better to find than in the Chicago Manual of Style). APA does a good job at organizing, explaining, and making the information accessible. Would definitely buy again. Also, kudos to APA for being customer-oriented, i.e., their online blog is so helpful and makes me feel good about purchasing (unlike Chicago that has nothing helpful, in my opinion, online for they ONLY want you to buy/subscribe to get the information).

Must Have for College Students Review by Steven J.

As a college student I have to write many research papers using APA format, and understanding APA can be difficult at times. This manual is very good at explaining everyday questions that a student might have about APA. I also like the fact that this manual also gives examples of what a citation should look like from different types of sources. This manual was also very helpful in explaining how to set up your research paper in Microsoft Word. This has been one of my most useful tools as a student for many years.
